Hello! I’m Danielle, the owner and creator of Glasgow-based Studio Paperpattern.

With a love of surface pattern and stationery, my aim is to brighten up your day with colourful custom illustrations, art prints, invitations and playful (slightly sarcastic/rude) greetings cards!

If you enjoy some useless facts, here’s some about me…

1. I am a former digital colourist at Standfast and Barracks, where I worked on colourways for new seasonal textile collections for brands such as Liberty of London, Sanderson and Ralph Lauren, to name a few! 

2. I studied printed textile and surface pattern design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, in Dundee, graduating in 2006.

3. I think I’m addicted to Irn-Bru. 

4. I am a mum of 2 boys who currently only refer to me as “Bruh” and a partner to a man with annoyingly beautiful, long hair.

5. I LOVE gnomes. They live both outside my house as well as in. I have a large ‘guard gnome’ that sits in my hallway, just incase…

6. In my fantasy land, I want to lead a simple life in a wooden cabin by a lake, surrounded by forest, possibly in Switzerland.

7. I LOVE Tom Jones and wear a t-shirt with his face on it to bed.

8. I’m allergic to eggs, peas, chickpeas and lentil… I know. I’m fun in a restaurant.

9. When I was a young teen, I once spent all my money at a Westlife concert, buying the merch, and had 78p to get back home…

10. I’m an armchair police detective who loves crime and murder programmes.
